Automated Welding System
 The “WT DanStar Gold” is a machine designed for the offshore and onshore pipeline industry. The “WT DanStar Gold” is a multi process welding system implementing GMAW, PGMAW, MCAW and FCAW welding processes. It can be utilized for Narrow Gap/ Modified “J” Bevel, standard 60 degree bevel or any other hybrid combination of the welding processes. Very best example of hybrid combination is modified “J” bevel with wider bevel angle for combining GMAW for root and hot pass and virtually defect free FCAW process for fills and cap welding passes. In addition, “WT DanStar Gold” implements Miller’s new welding process, RMD, to allow for no backing and open gap root welding. The RMD process is implemented in Miller’s new Pipe Pro 450 RFC welding power source. The welding power source utilizes latest modular micro-processing technology for better control of the welding process eliminating the need of using copper backing ring typically used for GMAW process.
The “WT DanStar Gold” comes with a user-friendly remote pendant for manual adjustment of welding parameters. Welding parameters are preset for each welding pass by means of downloading welding parameters using a PC compatible computer. The “WT DanStar” utilizes micro-processor technology in real-time control of welding parameters based on actual position on the pipe. Following welding parameters are set for each welding pass:
