Measuring Tools: Pressure Control Gauge
-
State of the art quality
- Minimal gas consumption
- Reduction of operationg time
As the first company in the world, WELD-TECH has developed an instrument - PCG - to control the purge gas pressure inside stainless steel, (super-) duplex / high alloy steel pipes during welding operations. The development has been carried out in co-operation with the Danish Welding Institute.
The PCG is set-up between the gas bottle and the WELD-TECH purge gas dam. An incorporated differential pressure transducer controls the gas and opens/closes the valve in the instrument to ensure a constant pressure of 30 Pascal (0,3 millibar/4,35 x 10-3 psi) at the purge zone.
After placing the WELD-TECH purge gas dam in the pipe and opening the gas, the purge time is set on the PCG-timer according to the required level of oxygen. When the PCG-timer gives signal, welding can commence.
Before, during and after welding PCG continues to keep the correct internal pressure until the welding seam is cooled, allowing the welder to proceed with his next operation immediately after performing the welding.
PCG ensures high quality as well as reduced gas consumption and reduction of operating time. The Pressure Control Gauge meets tomorrow’s demands for professional welding as well as economy.
